Morning show laugh traxxxx

I know most people make fun of them but everybody in the morning uses the forced laughs when one member of the team says something supposedly funny. Frankly fake or not, without them the shows would sound flat so they are needed. What's everyone's opinion about which show handles them best & worst. I think the PRO-FM morning bunch does a good job with them. I look at the Coast morning show as the worst example of forced chuckles.

What actually does bug me is when someone opens the mike in the middle of a laugh because of something that happened off the air but never tells the audience the reason for the laugh.

The only shows where I think they are genuinely laughing, and are pretty funny would be HJY and B101. I think it's because they're not forcing themselves to be. Obviously the B is more cheesy funny, and Paul and Al appeal to the 15 year old in me, but honestly, the other ones seem like everything is manufactured.

Yeah I don't know why I didn't think of Paul and Al at the time. They're not phony & don't even joke about things they don't think are really funny. TC's OK because he's more of a no-nonsense person so if there's humor it's natural.
