wow. The regular guys barely registered.

They weren't there for a full book and are still in the Top 10. I guarantee you that it is big improvement over Bob & Tom.

Well, as much as I don't care for TRG or even as much as I'm thoroughly disgusted by the decision to bring them back after "the incident", I'm not sure they shouldn't get a lot more praise for success than "barely registered" seems to indicate.

Somebody will probably get upset with me doing a breakdown by race, but I believe it's entirely relevant to judging their performance -- it's a show for white guys AFAIC (92% white current audience, by comparison Kicks is only 90% white) so take a look at mornings for
M25-54,Other -- WSB-AM, followed by WKLS, 99x, WABE & WSTR.
M18-34,Other -- 99x, then 96Rock/WSB tied, then Star, then Buzz & Q100 tie.

So, in what I'll term "available audience", they're 2nd in both M18-34 & M25-54, and that's nothing to sneeze at (no matter what I think of them or their schtick).

And since somebody mentioned Bob & Tom, the Fall 04 book showed 96 Rock as
7th with P18-34, Other (now T8th)
4th with M18-34, Other (now 2nd)
6th with P25-54, Other (now 6th)
2nd with M25-54, Other (now 2nd)

As far as ranking, so far the change only managed to move them with M18-34, with no gains anywhere else ... which isn't really surprising.

What might be surprising to at least some people here is what else the numbers show from the past year worth of ratings.

The monthly highwater AQH mark for 96 Rock 6a-10 with M18-34 during the past 12 months wasn't with TRG ... it was September 04 (prior to tanking horribly in the next couple of months). February 05 was also a little higher than June 05.
Just to show how incomplete a picture taking monthly numbers can be though, M25-54 high point was indeed May 05 which surpassed April 05 (almost all still B&T).
Edited by middlega on 07/28/05 07:40 PM.

14th to 6th 25-54 in less than one book. Barely registered. Wow. You need a clue.
