Morning Show Numbers?

Lots of us do, but most aren't dumb enough to post copyrighted info on a public message board.

I think the best thing to do regarding numbers other than 12+ is to privately send messages to each other (PM's)instead of putting them on this board, as Seattle Radio Pro underhandedly suggests. Sometimes Arbitron will embargo markets if they feel there is abuse going on. As such, the 12+ 6am-Mid, Monday through Sunday numbers may be freely tossed around on this board, no problem.

KZOK truly had a remarkable year winning virtually every morning book. KMPS made a strong comeback from earlier in the year and KWFF remains a viable second choice in the country arena. KMTT, KPLZ and KJR-FM all fell out of the top ten in the Fall book though remained strong in some demos and in the four book. These stations along with KWJZ have difficulties in mornings every fall,I assume primarily due to Christmas music from KRWM. KRWM does well in mornings only in the Fall and I suspect Christmas music is behind it. Makes one wonder why KPLZ or KMTT, KJR, KBSG and KWJZ don't flip to Christmas music in November. Why get hurt every Fall? I can see KWJZ not flipping because KRWM is in the same cluster, but why don't the other female leaning stations change? KMTT and KPLZ were growing in mornings throughout the year until the last phase of the Fall book, why not go after KRWM? Guess that is why I am in the agency business and not programming. Sure seems shortsighted to me. News stations got a nice bump from the bad weather in Nov/Dec. Same thing happened a couple of years ago.

Slow down there cowboy. How many Christmas music stations do you want
If they all flip ain't no one gonna win the battle. Better to stick with lady that you
brought to the dance for Christmas than dump her ;)
What I am saying is that if
your station is good listeners will come back and once we got the PPM it won't matter
anyway cause advertisers will see the Christmas month for what it is ;D

Damn straight this market can handle two country stations and both morning shows in
the top five 25-54. I betcha someone else could flip country and they'd all be top five ;D
More than three and you might get into the Christmas muscic thing above, too
many for one market. :p
