Morning Show Ratings

With all the talk of new morning shows, people shifting places and so forth. Does anyone have current ratings for Morning shows? Just curious to see what the situation is currently and it would even be more interesting to know where this will be 6 months from now.

Nothing specific. I know that Matty, Loren and Wally, Toucher and Rich, and Morning Edition do very well.

Good question. I believe Matty is #1.

The only ratings that seem to get published in the news involve the sports stations, so the articles cite the male demographics.

The Jessica Eslam had the 25-54 overall for last winter, might give you a hint about the morning shows.

Depends a lot on the demo, too. Matty's #1 in some of them, but not all. I think WBUR and WBZ routinely vie for #1 in certain older demos...like 40-54 women?

Such info is a closely guarded secret. If you don't pay the big bucks to get the data from Arbitron, you'll never know for sure. And even if you pony up, there are very strict rules for how public said data can be made.

Well, except for the 6+ numbers which are public (unless the station doesn't subscribe to Arbitron, in which case even those are hidden) but are so vague as to be useless. Good for bragging rights but little else, certainly not of any use to your salespeople!

I think it's a big no-no to share that info (esp. in a public setting like this), per contract with Arbitron. I think there are even specifics that state what you can share with potential advertisers.
