Eights shows blown out in Seattle and Billboard reports the typical morning show renewal is for 40% less moneybut not in Seattle. This is an average.
In Seattle the TMan's replacements makes about one million less a year so that throws off the average in Sea-Town. Other threads have pointed out that Jackie and Bender andFitz andBJ andTom McCarthy have all signed long-term new deals for good money and based on the ratings they all deserve it.
Entercom from the rumor mill is really stepping up in the morning show arena with Fitz and BJ on multi-year seven figure deals and Sean at The mountain not far behind. The new END show even gets good bank from what I understand but lower six figures only. I was reading a thread on another board that pegged Bob Rivers as the highest paid in Seattle at two million a yearfollowed by Fitz, BJ, Bender, and Ron and Don. Dave , Dori and the talk show hosts must be in the same league but I have never seen those numbers posted. Rush is the highest paid talent on air here but only a half a million comes out of Seattle. I am sure the talk show hosts make even better bank. Lots of others like kentalan, ichabod, Brooke and Monti and the am news shows make okay money but not like the top talent which is maybe why they keep their jobs. My point. Seattle is still a pretty good place for morning talent to make money if you have the drive. The loss of eight shows in this market makes it easier for those who are left and many are seeing the rewards. Congratulations to J/B, Fitz, BJ and McCarthy on new deals based on good ratings. Get the number, you make the number!
