Morning shows that bombed

Never understood why the powers that be hire a piped in morning show like Bob and Tom, John Boy and Billy, Walton and Johnson. These and other shows have been here before and failed. Why bring them back? Try something NEW and UNIQUE! Duh!!!???!!Don't these numnuts ever learn? ::)

Thats a good and quite honest question...One of the (if not the top) thing a breakfast/morning show host should do is,entertain and engage their audience. From what ive heard with all the redneckery being put on the air, referred in the afeormentioned post, theres not alot of that going on...Thank god I have a sirius :D

Yup, KDGE(when they were on 94.5) had ernie doing the morning shift, then they decided to go head-to-head with stern (97.1 days) with S&P and lost alot of their audience. They went back to full music mornings for a good while after that sillyness.

Sometimes it is not the talent that is the reason a show bombed. I for one thought that Rick Beemer and Tommy Kramer had one of the best morning shows in Dallas on KMGC back in the 80's. The owners never spent a dime to market them.I will say that in the case of W&J's failure at KTKS back in the day was becasue they stunk. I live in Houston now, and they are not any better. And now in Dallas, like in Houston, they are on a substandard frequency, which will justify the reason they are not getting any ratings, when in reality, they are just bad, and that will be enough for corporate to keep them on, and make us suffer through listening to them

What ever happened to Rick Beemer?

Rick is doing afternoons at a station in Dallas. Exxon. The Corner of Central and Park Ln :D

so so so wrong......I saw em get on that old mike snyder talk show on 5 and go Ape S about something or other, wonder if thats what got em fired??
