MORNING TEAM CHEMISTRY FROM BEST TO WORST

Just my 2cents
1-HJY Paul & Al-Probably the best example of team chemistry.Even though some team members have changed over the years there's been no loss of chemistry. Some of it sounds rehearsed rather than impromptu but you can't mess with success.
2-PROFM-Giovanni and Kim-Regardless of what some may think of the show they do work well together as does Will. The show gets frantic at times but they never lose a grip on it.I don't think any one person would be a standout doing a solo show but together it works.
3-HOT-Tessa and Baby J-I don't like the format but these 2 work well together and are likeable. It's a good show to listen to until the music starts IMO.
4-LITE-Jones and Heather-Nothing earthshattering going on here but for a recent pairing they work well together. It's a more casual interaction but a comfortable one although not much different than you'd find anywhere else on the radio.Still it's not grating in any way.
5-B101-TC and Company-The team works well together although TC is clearly the star here and has had to suffer through staff changes.Pretty close to Jones and Heather in terms of compatability but nothing you haven't heard anywhere else.
6-FUN107-JR and Sharon-I would actually put these 2 at the bottom of the list if not for the fact that they're both incredibly boring so if nothing else they are compatable.
7-COAST-Joan and Co-Oil and water.I haven't watched an Oscar show in years but they remind me of 2 people put together to read supposedly funny lines from a teleprompter with no sense of comic timing. The show might actually work better if they stopped trying to be funny but it sounds like everything is off that teleprompter and read verbatim.
I haven't included WCTK since it's a one person show so I guess hiring hasn't been done yet.

I think they are all Stale. Nothing new and exciting going on here. It's like Morning Radio from the early 1980's in this market. paul and Al are probably the best. But that's kind of like picking the best way to die. There really isn't a choice that's much better than the others.

I give props to Dan Mahoney on 96.3 The Rose ... he's been doing mornings there for quite some time and has always done a great job. Dan has great interaction with his listeners, and I think when you ask around a lot of kids and mothers alike enjoy listening to the show. Stephanie VIVA, his current co-host, is a great match and has really developed over the last few years ... and, yeah, they rock.
