Morning X STILL out of ideas!?!?!?!?!

The morning x is doing something else that is unoriginal (I know, there are no original ideas in radio). I heard this morning Jenners and Mark "arguing" on whether or not Jenners could stop a Pro Hockey slap shot. I'm not bagging on the conversation, but it all sounded too familiar. I don't know how long ago (I think in the last 2 years), but I recall Jimmy from the "old" morning X hopping in the goal to see if he could stop a puck. If I can recall this, I'm sure other listeners can too.
I know we've been talking about lifting ideas from other shows and that's great if it makes for better radio, but how about lifting ideas from out of market and not from across the street or the show that you replaced. How did Leslie not catch that?
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I would really like to hear something fresh from them (and all the other Atlanta morning shows for that matter). I do enjoy talk in the morning and now that the Regular Guys are gone, I do flip over to 99 more than I used too.
 
Yes I believe he did do something like that a couple of years ago. Of course that was just a repeat of his stunt a couple of years prior to that when he played goalie against the GT women's soccer team or maybe the Atlanta women's soccer team and I believe stopped 2 out of 5 shots then also. And Steak did something wit the GT women's soccer team.

Learned poster, you are half right. The bet was that Atlanta Beat Forward Julie Foudy couldn't score on 99X's Jimmy Baron five out of five. The first one was a goal, the second one went wide and thus Jimmy won, adding to his feats of strength.

Hey, speaking of feats of strength, when is 99X flipping to all Festivus music? Screw Christmas music; let's really get into the Festivus spirit. I have a long list of grievances, mostly at Andy at Album 88 for not tracking down Mal Murray.

I actually spoke to Mal a couple of months ago. He called my show to compliment me and I asked him to come down and be a guest on the show. He's got some music that would fit and it would be great to have him visit the station. So, bad Mal for never calling me back!
