Mornings at Q-93!?

steve harvey starts on the 8th...... nate bell making BIG changes

Wow!!! And CJ has delivered results consistantly over the 12+ years. Although he's been there longer than that. Amazing how people who stick with their station in the most extreme of situations (Katrina) get the axe. What a slap in the face.

I'm sorry CJ... If this is true, New Orleans will miss you in the 'Morgan'. One of the best dynamic duos in New Orleans -- CJ and Monica 'the magnificent' Pierre

What's really going to be interesting is the story with Harvey vs. Joyner -- I don't know how New Orleans will react to this. Being that it was used to a LIVE and LOCAL morning outlet for Urban. Now it has none.

This one we'll have to watch!

CJ, keep your head up.

CJ, you're a great man!! As a former fellow radio broadcaster here in New Orleans, I commend you. You've been on Q for a long time. A true icon to that station and this city. You stuck it out and participated in the URBNO (United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans). I can only imagine how bumpy that was during that time....

I've listened to you almost religiously since my high school years ('94 - '97). My school bus driver was an older African-American man who always put it on Q for us to listen to. You and Monica had the bus fully entertained! I remember well!

Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do! Hope to hear you on radio again in this city sometime soon!

Best wishes!

to hell with syndication and those CONsultants that, im sure, recommended the change! its a shame. what a waste of talent, sincerity and longevity by giving him the axe. the guy is a legend on the q. hey! steve harvey works in 13 other markets with major success so he'll fit in like a glove here....! we'll just see.................

theyre trying to make broadcast radio sound more and more like satellite in some aspects. one stale show to listen to across the country. fewer and fewer choices, leaving local talent to pasture. :( whatta waste. im just about fed up with new orleans radio and many of the other major cities' radio......

What CC has done here is typical for their operations. But will people do more than complain? Will they vote with their feet so to speak, and move to another station, or will they just gripe and continue to listen?
