Mornings at the Vulcan

I've heard that Ken is making that pitch to Clear Channel. Also, Van is being let go from New Country 97.3. He would make a nice addition to that staff. He is a rock guy at heart.

The Radio Station failed, not Lex and Terry. At least they brought them back and not the god-awful Beaner and Ken.

Why does everybody put dashes instead of the guy's name? lol

People don't. For some reason this site auto-censors the word B ea ner. I guess it's on the list of words considered "racial slurs"

right... in 8 months LandT took down an entire station.

that thing was doomed long before Cox crammed it on the station to get them to sign a contract with Cox. L&T were also placed on Cox stations in Louisville and Tulsa at the same time.

With a proper signal and programming, LandT will do just fine in B'Ham.

L & T skew just slightly off the demo to help this format reach it's maximum potential, even if
all of the other programming is popular. They divide the listeners to only after 9/10 and before.
Formats calls for at least 30 minutes of music not lots of talk in the AM, no one will ever get it.
A points a point in today's radio game. This is a point missed.

Can you point out a rock station in a top 75 market (hell any market for that matter) that is playing 30+ minutes of music in the morning and having consistant top 3 ratings success in its core demo?

I honestly cannot think of one.

96 Rock in Raleigh. Number 1 with men.

the key to my question was "consistantly"... This new show had a giant Fall book, but previously the station has been 6th or 7th.
