MORNINGS ON WOKQ

They are actually on the air looking for a co-host for the Morning Waking Crew.

With so many radio folks out of a job, is it really that hard to find a replacement?

Maybe. Lots of folks deem radio a hazardous environment for steady, gainful employ. Many have moved on to greener (or at least more stable) pastures.

Incidentally, I heard a rumor that the Army may be shedding their radio involvement. This lies with the concept that the Army's Public Affairs mission does not involve broadcasting on a daily basis as much as it does putting news stories together... be it firsthand or escorting civilian media. I guess if you want to be a radio broadcaster, your best bet is the Air Force now. :(
