Moseley PCL-303 STL service manual

Back in '81 when we pulled the last 303 out of service finding parts was becoming a issue even then. The RTL logic IC's, RF transistors and that multiplier diode were not available anymore. Besides, they could really dirty up the RF spectrum with a spurs and be unstable even with a lot of TLC. It's been 25 years or so since Moseley supported them.

Thank you for your comments and input. These units precede my time in radio (I started in '84) so I have no
experience with them.
I might suggest to the station manager that he moves them on.

I think the later model PCL 505STL's came out in the 70's--so that pretty much puts the 303's in the obsolete category. Don't believe they are type accepted anymore.

There was the PCL101 series before that. The biggest 900 MHz STL I ever saw was a GE! The transmitter was in a roll around 5' hight rack. All tubes. Had a pair of finals that looked like (but weren't) 4CX250's in parallel that put out a whopping 5 watts. The receiver was two large rack units each something like 12 rack units high. Lots-o-metering on both of them.
