Least favorites: Anyone on DVE, Anyone on Kiss, Tim Benz, Chris Mack, Bob Logue.

I would put Bubba as my least favorite, but I'm not sure if he really counts as a DJ.

My favorites are Vinnie & Sean McDowell

Favorite: Jimmy and Steve in their heyday; Don Burns; Jim Merkel; Sean McDowell on Magic 97, not DVE; Bonny Diver on Magic 97; Susie Barbour on 96 Kix.

Least Favorite: Freak Morning show, Chris Winter, Tim Benz, Bubba & all the airstaff of B-94; Joe Fenn, Mike Frazer and everyone on the X.

Favorites:

The entire 1250 WTAE line-up from 1980. Clarke Ingram, Keith Abrams, Scott Paulson on WHTX, Bob Savage, Jay Stone, Suitcase Simpson, Jackson Armstrong, Randy Miller and Dan Dunlap.

Most:----Everybody who was on KQV from it's inception as TOP 40 until 1967 when I moved away. Plus Porky, Terry Lee, Doug Hoerth( music only), Clark Race, and Terry McGovern

Least favorite: Jim Quinn after he became a right-wing noodnik and of course Jeff Christie. Although he sounded like the perfect TOP 40 DJ with the perfect voice for the job, he got this looney mashugena idea he could be a political pundit----but simply became a troll and a dangerous highway hazard. Then he began to spout that riots would be good. Strange little man. He used to have long hair and a walrus mustache----but he was not married to Yoko.

Favorites:
O'Brein & Gary, Vintage Top 40 Jim Quinn, Entire 96KX airstaff, Uncle Duggie,Truckin Tom Cookin Kent, Thor Tolo if talk show hosts count toss in Ellis Cannon, and Roy Fox. As stated above the vintage 1250 WTAE air staff, Clarke Ingram, Calibe Micheals.

It seems to me your least favorites are not based on their radio talent, but rather your own political beliefs. You're entitled to your political beliefs, but wouldn't the fact Jeff Christie went on to be radio's all-time contemporary personality show he has at least a little bit of talent?

I also am surprised to hear so many people list talk show hosts. Wasn't this supposed to be about DJs?

But I suppose that's nitpicking.

Some of the best DJs, in my opinion, in Pittsburgh are found at WISH 99.7. Ron Antill, Sara Lockard, Dan Dunlap and Cris Winter all have perfect voices, are beyond smooth, and do all the little things a DJ is supposed to do. Their enthusiasm for their work is great. I absolutely hate the music they play and think their respective talents are held back a bit by the format of the station, but even with that- they succeed.

I am not as familiar with the guys on the weekends and overnights, primarily because I haven't listened to the station during that time in a long, long time and I don't know if the guys who I was familiar with are still there.

I'm usually a guy who says its the music is what makes the station. I still believe that.

But the recent success of WISH 99.7 has to be attributed at least somewhat to the jocks.

I forgot to add Dan Dunlap as a favorite. He has the perfect radio voice and is a very friendly guy in real life. Adam Bomb as well, I talked to him once and he was very friendly and a genuine.

Oh, and add the entire Kiss FM Line up to my least favorite. Especially that guy who would give advice to his callers couple years back. Was his name Scotty or something? Terrible....

My Favorites:

iMediatouch v. 3.0
Station Playlist
RCS sound software

Least Favorite:

Scott Systems, any version
Profit (clear channel crap) and yes thats the way I spell it

;D touche Radio Engineer!

I must say Pratte4Life that I think WSHH success is a fluke this past book. They had some odd sampling that helped them.

I dont think that air personalities are the reason people listen tp WSHH, especially at work. The air personalities are glorified card readers. They listen because the music is softer and more non-polarizing than a rock station or I must agree with you on Dan Dunlap and Sara Lockard. They have velvety voices. But, Ron Antill and Cris Winter do not. They are both boring and glorified card readers who drone. And, Ms.Winter is grammatically challenged and loves to talk about herself. The Q92.9 Robot sounds better!

Watch for their numbers to fall next book.
