Most community focused air personality in DFW......

Is KKDA's Willis Johnson.

Care to agree or disagree.

You're probably right or close to it.

What about your buddy, Russ Martin? lol

Judy, methinks you have an affinity for P&K! lol

I hope they fit with The Bone. The rest of the staff is accessible and doesn't have the Big Head Syndrome.

That's the most callous response!!!!!!

I second willis johnson, at least he's making the attempt to help out the community ;)

"The Crooner" hands down!! I think NOBODY even comes close to what he does for the community. I think this was a loaded question.. It's a no-brainer. Thanks Willis for EVERYTING you do!!

Does Willis still call himself "Where -IS- The Party" Johnson? And does KKDA-am still have that killer old Chevy panel truck they tricked out? That was an excellent promo vehicle.

KKDA-AM is actually a very intersting study in radio. A station of low ratings, but a station that actually serves the community!

And Bumper Morgan is still their voice guy. I always thought he had an awesome voice. Especially when he was voicing K104.

How can it be her when she does not even live here.

Absolutely agreed. As noted elsethread, the numbers for KKDA-AM, while not large, are consistent and reflect a loyal audience. While traveling recently through Memphis, I listened to WDIA, a station that KKDA-AM may have patterned itself after.

As for community involvement, back when John Wiley Price had the nightly talk show on ``Liberation Radio'', he was strongly focused on the community -- regardless of what you think of JWP. Although the national election now consumes much of his daily content, WBAP's Mark Davis is attuned to the region.
