Most forgotten Fox show

For the past 25 Fox has presented with memorable shows like

Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That ’80s Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freakylinks, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute With Stan Hooper, Normal Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The $treet, American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer, The Tick, Louie or Greg the Bunnny

and

Kitchen Confidential, The Wedding Bells, Happy Hour, The War at Home, Drive, The Winner, Life on a Stick, The Loop, Head Cases, Standoff, Vanished, Free Ride, Method and Red, Tru Calling, Quintuplets, Stacked, Justice, North Shore, Back to You ;D

Why didn't they any of those tonight?

They would have needed another 3 hours to show those pieces of television magic. Plus, since Ryan "the new Dick Clark" Seacrest was hosting, they needed about 25 minutes of the 2 hour show to show American Idol highlights. I would have preferred to see less Idol and more of the In Living Color interview and show highlights. They left that for the last 5 minutes.

Didn't Peter Griffin rally some of those titles off in his long rant from the May 1, 2005 episode of Family Guy? He ends the long-winded rant with "...and Greg The Bunny[i/]!". Obviously, that was a stab at co-star Seth Green (who voices Chris Griffin).

My vote would go to Parker Lewis Can't Lose - a forgettable "teen" comedy that ran on Fox for a couple of years in the early 90s. IIRC, I saw it once, and never tuned in again. I've only recalled it because there was recently a Bay Area radio DJ that named himself Parker Lewis.

I remember Parker Lewis (the dude who played him was in a recent Syfy TV movie with Degrassi-alum Miriam McDonald in Sea Beast). PL later reran on USA Network aftr PLCL's cancellation in 1993. And don't forget Babes (from 1990), Sunday Comics (reaired on VH1 in 1994), and Herman's Head!

Mr. President. Major star power with George C. Scott.
Heavily hyped but a major bomb.

Also the attempted Married With Children spinoff starring
Matt LeBlanc as Vinnie Verducci (don't recall the title)

Personally I wouldn't add Firefly to you list of most forgotten shows because it had potential if only the "suits" at FOX would have given Firefly a chance to gain an audience.

So that show was canceled and some FOX genius' came up with the list of programs you mentioned above; none of which I ever watched.

Down & Out in Beverly Hills
Karen's Song
Women in Prison
Partners
Drexell's Class
Good Grief
Hardball
Wild Oats

Top of the Heap

...interesting that nobody's yet mentioned TV Nation, the Michael Moore retread of Candid Camera by way of 60 Minutes, or The Edge, the blackout sketch comedy series that Jennifer Aniston was on the season before she got the gig on Friends...

Open House (A three-out-of-four-lead-character spinoff of Duet.)

Just because they didn't last long doesn't mean they weren't good. I thought Herman was very funny, but the concept may have been too much for viewers. It was also one of the few on-camera appearances by Yeardley "Lisa Simpson" Smith.

Duet was a good TV romantic comedy and started my less-than-stalkerish infatuation with Mary Page Keller. It spinoff, Open House, showed the underrated comedic skills of Alison LaPlaca, as well as Christopher Lemmon. And it was one of the first TV roles for Ellen DeGeneres.

Not every short-lived show deserves to be the butt of jokes.

Herman's Head was certainly memorable. If for no other reason than it was just so....
well, weird!

TV Nation was an NBC show that moved to Fox after the peacock network declined to renew it.

No one has mentioned WOOOOPS!

Then again, we're talking forgettable TV here.

TV Nation had it's first season on NBC, with the same budget as an episode of Blossom for the whole season

I didn't say they weren't good; I'm mentioning them because *I* watched them. I do think they've been forgotten, though.

I really liked Drexell's Class. Of course based on the ratings I might be the only person in America who did.

I've yet to find a petition on-line asking for a DVD release or anything of the sort so guess I am the lone member of the fan club, but I thought it was a nice little silly comedy.

I actually liked Herman's Head, and there was no other show like it at the time it was on the air. If I remember, it usually followed Married...with Children on Sunday nights.

As far as forgotten shows, there was a Howie Mandel sitcom ("Good Grief") that aired in the Sunday 10pm ET/PT slot that lasted less than a season or so, and it featured Tom Poston in a supporting role, just fresh off of Newhart. At least Mandel had another (and far-more successful) Fox show, in Bobby's World.
