I'm thinking Mr box of hair was trying to throw a jab at me somehow by saying Entercom doesn't own the stations D&C are on? Which makes no sense...so I didn't follow his attempt at condescending.

There are eight stations on the network, and Entercom owns four of them. That leaves four that they don't own.

Yes, I do. I was under the common sense assumption that they are Entercom employees, so they would be on Entercom stations...silly me for using logic. So instead of the company as a whole trying to strong arm the airways, it's apparently just D&C themselves...thank you for clearing that up for me.

I was controller of a couple of decent sized companies and it never ceased to amaze me that secretaries, machine operators, and truck drivers thought they were experts on finance and profitability.

In some cases, some of the employees probably did know better the people who actually held the jobs but didn't have the right connections to get high paying "superior" jobs that some people just get handed to them.

No they didn't. They were never right. The opinions were always founded in a desire for higher wages. This was in the private sector, the real world. Not state government. We didn't have any Wharton graduates driving trucks or filing.

Interesting response though. People with "superior" jobs have had them handed to them because of connections. I sense a little bitterness or a person with a very limited work history.

I can't tell ya how "shocked" I am to see you say "they were never right"...I actually had a good laugh at that lol

Everybody can learn something from everyone....this includes someone way up "here" can learn something from way down "there"...it's called having an open mind and being able to take suggestions from other people.

I was lucky one time in a job where of course a higher up came in, had absolutely no experience at all in my department and wanted to come in like gangbusters by changing this that and the other thing....Luckily my direct manager was willing to listen to me and when I told him various things like "well we can't do this, because this has to be done like that or else that will be negatively impacted this way" and so on.

So yeah....there are some people out there who actually work their way up through the ranks and get jobs they deserve. There are other people who go from one big job to another because their uncle owns the company, or their brother got them the job, or a college friend, etc.... And ya can't deny that

No, I sure can't. Power to the people.

I must clarify that my self taught financial experts never had any suggestions, but only opinions, based in the position of the stars, the relative humidity, the Red Sox AL East standings or some other indicator, (it must have been one of those factors, because I checked their personnel files to see if they had any financial education or training) that the company was making tons of money and, of course, screwing the workers.

On a post in another thread, someone was called out for stating that Giant Glass was 'EEI's largest advertiser AND they were dropping them. Obviously, this person has inside knowledge of both companies or else the stars were aligned.
