Most Memorable E skip

My most memorable E skip? Hearing Dallas's classical station WRR 101.1 instead of DC's rock station on the same frequency here in northern VA, several years ago.

My first one, no doubt was my most memorable one. I was pulling into my driveway, it was probably July of 2011. Coming home from school and I was listening to 92.1 KTBT out of Tulsa. Being 94 miles northeast in Kansas, I wasn't exactly surprised that it was fading in and out. It wasn't until I heard rock on the frequency that I started getting surprised. After 5 minutes (which seemed like years to me) I finally heard the calls of CJQQ "Timmins' Rock Station" Definitely the best E-Skip I've had since I've known about it.

The equivalent where I am would likely be WTCM-FM (103.5, 100kW, 35 miles away) being wiped out by E-skip. That has never happened before, but WIXX (101.1) and WWKR (94.1) have been wiped out by E-skip once.

Also about 6 years ago maybe in December I was driving to work and all of a sudden this station was coming in super strong and it was like a french station. It was there for 5 minutes and gone. I am pretty sure it was from overseas. That was really cool too and it was cold that day maybe in the 20's and this was in December of all months!

Probably something from Quebec. I've gotten TV e-skip on CH 4 from eastern Quebec. Two different French language stations coming in at one. BTW, whereabouts in Michigan are you located?
Yeah buckeyes I remember they were playing an evanascense song then the DJ's were talking in French. It came in clear for 10 minutes and like that it was gone. I live in Escanaba Michigan up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I also remember getting a Colorado station in December I think that same year. It might have been the year before on Christmas Eve in 2006 I was coming back from my Aunt's at night and I was getting some bigtime tropo from downstate Grand Rapids Michigan stations. They were coming in as clear as a local station all over the dial. This was on Christmas Eve!
