What the hell is up with all these "biggest mistakes in Louisville history" "most missed stations of the state" posts.. geez move on, PEOPLE.. but here are my two cents...

Personally I miss MIX 102 and SHE 93... but the point in Louisville was ok.. The HAWK was good... River 94.7 WRVI (remember that blast from the plast in Louisville?) were good.. and what HITS 105.9 in Louisville!!

Is 94.7 The River the same one that is on 105.9 today?

All right radiogeek, let's move on. To what? Lexington radio is a joke. Two big 100000 watt country jokes, 92.9 and 98.1. Only market in America of it's size with this mess on the air. 104.5 the what? Whatever floats your boat. 103.3 sounds like lame-assed 100.1 more every day.CD106.3 and Mix 94.5 are clones of each other. Where is the only format where you know what you're going to hear? Only at 107.9. What a great station. Thank you J Alexander for a job well done. This station is L.M. undisputed no. 1 money maker. Check it at R&R. Have a good one "geek".

I love 107.9 The Beat! But if they are making so much money, why is the PD the only jock?

Kinda... when River 94.7 was on it was "Rock and Roll Faviortes".. then they killed of HITS 1059 moved RIVER to 1059,and made it "1059 the river".. was rock and roll faviortes for a while before salem bought it and it became christian

In 1998 105.9 was 80s for awhile. The best station in this city was on 105.9 in 1993-1995 wqnf Q2

wqmf and there sister station .A really good alternative station.Pity alt does not exist in louisville :'(

after rock and roll faviortes.. and before christian it was 80's music....

Without a doubt...WLRS 102.3 in the late 80's..Pure Rock & Roll...Rock 102. Loved those hair bands back in the day...I lived 81 miles N of them & put up a huge yagi at 85' to pull them in. Even though I was only 25 miles from WCBK 102.3 in Martinsville,IN WLRS almost always made it through. They were the perfect combination of white boy rock and roll with a top 40 presentation...excellent radio Brad Hardin & crew...
