Okay this question should get some very interesting responses. Out of all of the people that you've worked for in radio, who was the most enjoyable and pleasant to be around? Some of you can probably go back pretty far on this one, however I'll definotely enjoy reading your answers and comments.

While I did not work directly for him, there was a guy named Wayne Olsen at KLIF/KPLX when I was there in the in the 80's. A very pleasant guy.

Now, if you really want a thread to heat up, start one about he most UN pleasant person to work for. ;)

How about the most unpleasant co-worker?

In my case, it was Andrea Galindo.

Ironically, the most pleasant p.d. I ever worked for was also named Holstead.

I have been fortunate to have had many experiences. Some, great and I would write the kids about. Others, awful and I would write the media about. ;)

Answer: Drew Dawson, PD at KHVN shortly after Warren Brooks "left." Hands down, the most genuine man PD - and one of the most upstanding men - I have had the privilege of knowing.

Most pleasant: Hal Mayfield, John McCarty, Danny Williams

Bruce Gilbert. There was a good reason he got himself promoted out of this market.

Like the man. Love his radio moxie. But, uh, how's that working out for him anyway? ???

Gilbert's CEO of Redskins owner Daniel Snyder's broadcasting company. I'd say things are working out pretty well for him.

I second that VDV. Drew is a great person. Always had advice to offer. Very honest and hard working.

John McCarty - a true prince among the myriad TOADS prevalent in this market!! :D

Maybe my tongue wasn't present enough in my cheek... that was the point. ESPN was a stop set in his career waiting to happen. Good on him, he used it as resume fodder.

John McCarty and Duane Doherty are tops in my book. ;D

Never worked FOR Duane, but the time I was at CC I enjoyed working with him.
