Most stations on a single channel in a TVG edition?

I have personally seen at least a couple of classic TVG editions that had 3 stations listed on the same OTA channel (one "black," one "white," one with perhaps stripes?), and I believe I have seen or heard anecdotal evidence of at least one edition that had four. You TVG geeks -- what are some of these editions, and what were the stations involved?

...I seem to recall when visiting Montreal in 1980 that there were three Channel 8s listed there -- CJOH-8 Cornwall ON (rebroadcasting CJOH/13 Ottawa, a CTV affiliate), WAGM-TV/8 Presque Isle ME (then an ABC affiliate), and CHEM/8 in Trois-Rivières PQ (a TVA affiliate). All three were on the Montreal cable system then...

Right state, wrong 8... the Maine ABCer was WMTW Poland Spring.

Which is still an ABC affil today. I'm not certain if that station is still listed in TV Hebdo (do they still have listings?), though I'll find out when I go to Quebec in four weeks.

TVH's provincewide edition also had multiple channels as well -- one I could think of at the top of my head is four "4"s -- CFCM (TVA, Quebec City), CKRN (SRC, Rouyn-Noranda), CBOT (CBC, Ottawa) and WDIV (NBC, Detroit). Oddly, as of 2005, WTOL from Toledo was still listed, though it was replaced about six years earlier on CANCOM by WWJ.

In the US, another example I know of was the TVG's South Georgia edition, which has three "11"s -- WFSU (PBS, Tallahassee), WTOC (CBS, Savannah) and WXIA (NBC, Atlanta). Also, I think any UHF channel with more than one station of the same number qualifies as well -- that same edition had two "17"s: WJWB (WB, Jacksonville (now WCWJ/CW)), and WTBS (no explanation necessary; now WPCH). Actually, three "17"s, if you count the mention of an LPTV channel 17 in Tallahassee.

There was a North Texas edition that included Wichita Falls, Sherman, Abilene, and Waco-Temple (I think that was all in it); there were 3 listings for Ch.6 in it, the 3rd was striped. All the others were white or black.

TV Hebdo still carries listings, TV 7 Jours (sold with 7 Jours) is a sister pub. TVH has two editions: a cable edition for Montreal with black (East), white (West) and white boxes in red (Illico digital) bullets; and a provincial edition (which is also widely available across New Brunswick as well). TV 7 Jours is in one edition AFAIK: an "Integrated Cable" edition which is esssentially geared to the same area as the TVH 1993 National ed listings I posted last week.
Just about every VHF channel has multiple stations listed in TVH. If you can keep them all straight, bonne chance to you ;D

Continuing on with the thread...

The Montana edition is infamous for its channel bullets, cities would have two or even three different sets of bullets for local stations (Billings for example had black bullets for CBS, but white bullets with black bars for the ABC and Fox stations!)
In my home area, the Maritimes edition was one big cluster you-know-what :D:

3 channel 2s: WGBH Boston (black), CKCW Moncton (white), WLBZ Bangor (white/black bars)
2 channel 3s: CBHT Halifax (bl), CJBRT Rimouski (wh)
3 channel 4s: CBAT Fredericton/Saint John (bl), CJCB Sydney (wh), WBZ Boston (w/bb)
3 channel 5s: CBIT Sydney (bl), CJCH Halifax (wh), WCVB Boston (w/bb)
4 channel 7s: CBAT Moncton (bl, relay), WHDH Boston (wh), WVII Bangor (w/bb), WXYZ Detroit (7D long bullet)
4 channel 8s: CIHF Halifax (bl), CKCW Charlottetown (wh), WAGM Presque Isle (w/bb), CHAN Vancouver (=8=)
3 channel 11s: CIHF Saint John (bl), CBAFT Moncton (wh, used to be bl back in the day), CHCH Hamilton (1/1); and back in the day, WTOL Toledo (=11=)
3 channel 13s: CBCT Ch'town (bl), CITV Edmonton (wh), WMED Calais (1/3)

...and only one channel 9 (CKLT Saint John/Fredericton, white ), 10 (WMEM Pr Isle, 1/0), 12 (CIHF Fredericton, bl), 27 (CIHF Moncton, bl) and 56 (WTVS Detroit, 56D long bullet). * Whew!*

And some of the bullets were recycled over the years:
(/5/) originally WABI Bangor
(7) (white) originally CKCW's Northern NB relays, which ran a split CBC/CTV feed until fall 1976, when then-CHSJ Saint John (now CBAT) established their own relays in the region, with CKCW running a full CTV feed in the area (which is about to be flushed down the porcelain tubes as a result of CTV's tx cutbacks)
[11] as mentioned above, when TVG launched the Maritimes edition in 1976, CBAFT used this bullet...this was changed in the mid 80s IIRC.

Do they still list WMTW, WTOL and the Rochesters, even though they are no longer available in the area?

In the case of "CJBRT" channel "3", it was actually "CJBR-TV", and, since 1984, was on channel 2 -- TVG never corrected the error by the time the edition folded a few years ago.

Yes they do, and still list CHRO as a CTV affiliate ;D

They did list it as CJBR, I just used the station's correct calls. The reason it was listed in the first place is because when the edition launched, they had a relay in Edmundston, NB...that later switched to a relay of CBAFT.

BTW, you can add another channel 4 to that Maritime listing: WDIV Detroit (4D long cable bullet), which makes it 4 channel 4s in that edition.

Scratch that last statement ;D...
TV Hebdo and TV 7 Jours have recently undergone some changes---

TV Hebdo:
* merged the two editions, cover now reads Une seule edition (Just one edition) and Cable inclus (cable included); this change occurred just recently as the cover reads on top Nouvelle formule, plus facile (New format, easier)...I'm not so sure on that ::)
* Quebec's 4 networks are only listed under their network arrows, with channels only listed when there are regional variations in the schedules
* Two primetime grids, one covering local stations (geared towards Mtl)/French cable channels, the second covering Anglo cable channels
* Channel guide has been spiked, VCR+ codes are now listed with each cable system in the cable converter grid

TV 7 Jours:
* Ditto for channel guide, network arrows
* Only the first grid is published
* Overnight listings (12:30-6am) dropped
