most used call letters

NEVER compare me to Julius. I didn't ask about some adult standards station that went off the air 40 years ago and now plays "hard rock" like Celine Dion.

The calls I have seen in the most places would have to be WWOK. I know they have been used in these places:

Charlotte, NC
Miami, FL
Graham, NC
Columbia, NC
Tarboro, NC
Goldsboro, NC

...and I don't know where those calls are being used now. Most of the stations that have used them have been known as "O-K Country".

Later....
Matt Smith
WGSR-TV

Let me add Evansville, Indiana for a WWOK rest stop. WGBF changed calls around 1990 and did adult standards as "OK1280", cute ain't it. Their FM held on to WGBF and dropped the FM suffix. The calls returned to the AM about ten years ago for first a sports format then to the News/Talk it has today.

I was thinking about this earlier today, but from the perspective of what letter is most used in calls, other than the "K" or "W" prefix? Seems like a lot of Xs and Qs.
