Most-Wanted Chicago logged! Chicago #4! 11/28/12

I finally did it. After over three years of looking for this, I finally got it.

670-WSCR Chicago, IL; ad for tire place mentioning "save at all Chicagoland locations", under KBOI at 2140 PST. The most-wanted Chicago station in my log! I have been looking for this station for over three years, every Eastern conditions night. I logged Radio Rebelde in February, but now I got what I was looking for. Early Christmas present! NEW #465, 1725 miles, 50kw!

I'm very shocked it could make it through KBOI. WSCR is a TOUGHIE!! One more station to celebrate about tonight. Now I can't wait to get the box loop going, and see what I can really get!!!

Awesome! I assume this is with the radio's internal ferrite loop? Here on the East coast, WSCR is usually bothered by the Cuban 670 at night.

Internal ferrite bar, yes! WBBM made it last night as well as KSTP.

Good one, Crain!

Good one indeed...congratulations!

I had posted in another thread that conditions seemed to be pretty decent last night. I thought I might have had KNBR just before dawn here this morning, but I couldn't positively ID it before it disappeared. So between you snagging WSCR and my "maybe" of KNBR, it would certainly suggest that the east-west path was "open for business". Hopefully a sign of things to come.
