Motel TV's

I remember staying at a motel , maybe 8 yrs ago, B and W TV (that had rabbit ears and a loop) between Philly and Harrisburg. Motel was on a hill with great visibility in all 4 directions. Was amazed to get near perfect pictures from about 60-75 mi, probably 20-25 channels.
And with cable you would have gotten far fewer locals...

Reminds me of many years ago (early 80's?) when I stayed a few days with a friend then living near Princeton, on a fairly high patch of ground for the area. In his apartment, with just ears and a loop, he could get pretty much everything from NYC, Jersey, Philly, even Allentown, all very nice and watchable -- must have been 30-35 stations in all.
