Mother Jones: How the rise of Salem Communications' radio empire reveals the evangelical master plan

Note - I thought this article was applicable to both the News/Talk and Religious Radio-Info message boards.

Note 2 - I'm not taking sides - "for" or "against" either side, I just heard about this article, and thought it would be of interest to the Radio-Info message boards, so I posted a link for all to read.

Yes - at first I was concerned it was another one of those "catholic conspiracy to take over the whole world using the ecumenical movement" type of nutcase articles, but it proved to be pretty balanced.

I forgot to put "catholic conspiracy theorists" on my list of "Christian" groups to avoid ----

Salem did not launch KLTY in 2000 they did aquire it that year but it has been 20 years that KLTY meant Christian music radio. It was missing for a couple of years in the mid to late 80s but KLTY is the standard for quality Christian music radio.
