Is it just me, or did I hear JODY on the air this morning with Marty?! I thought Mike West was positive she wasn't joining the Mountain Morning Show. Nice surprise though. I do like Jody. She was always the best part of Andy Savage's show.
 
I seem to remember that Steve The Producer mentioned something about it on BJ's show a couple weeks ago in passing... Not sure if he mentioned the show directly but he did say she was getting a job on a morning show.
 
What can I say? Typical Entercom move. It's a fine company when you get out. I wish nothing but the best for Marty and his new partner. So much for less talk more rock!
 
I wonder if this move makes Marty happy.
He is great as an afternoon guy but mornings?
Reminds me of another Entercom error with the KBSG fiasco, when they took Fastlane (a terrific afternoon guy)
and moved him to morning. A mistake. He has never regained his numbers and the show needs oxygen. Just an opinion.
 
I tend to agree with the last couple of posters. Wonder if Marty will rise above his 2 or 3 dusty and somewhat stale bits and rise to the occassion. He's a great afternoon guy. Lots to compete with in the morning. Will keep my fingers crossed that Jody brings new life.

I've mentioned it before but I stomp my foot and fold my arms in protest again. The Mountain music is shifting. I want the variety back. How long has it been since I heard Deep Forest? All of my most favorite artists became that because I "discovered" them on The Mountain. It is the one & only place I go for music on the radio. And I'm starting to get worried.

Agreed. He's a decent jock just going through the same old motions in the morning. His 9 at 9 selections are pretty interesting but the rest of this stuff is very stale. And, don't even get me started about the 5:20 Funny.

But, I think the Mountain's variety has gotten better lately. The new music director has had an impact. And, for the record, two Deep Forest songs got played on the Mountain in the past week.
 
I hear that they are trying to bring Jody on full time with Marty now. Paul Anderson (the agent) was seen with Steve Oshin today. I wish him luck - Jody should really be on the air with Marty. He needs her help. They might really be good.
