MOVIN 92.5:KAYE AND PHILLIPS SPEAK OUT

Will the war between these two ever end? There is definitely only roomfor one HOT/AC in Seattle. KPLZ has been hurt by KLSY, but not in women, which is why they make a great deal of money. I agree that MOVIN is a bit like "THE BEAT" especially when they added current music in the final months. Did KBKS actually do this format too? Maybe this time the format's time has come. Advertisers will be watching. I listened today and my feeling is the station will hurt KBKS, but it may take some of the older KUBE listeners and maybe a few KPLZ listeners. It has to be better for KPLZ than having a sound alike HOT/AC going against them. My bet is JACK is where KLSY gets most of their new listeners. The question is: how many and for how long? JACK died after one year and so did the BEAT. That is why most advertising agencies wait a few books before making a big buying decision. Nice to see KLSY try something different.
