Movin 94.5 in Myrtle Beach flips

They tried this before.

Back then, though, Star hadn't gone Hot AC.

One possible benefit: Easy sounded more easy the last time 94.5 was AC.

Sounds good compared to Star 92.1 which is Hot AC and goes more after Mix 97.7 As I heard Star play the new song from Fast and Furious 7. As for The Tide sounds good plays songs you haven't heard in a bit. Only problem is signal which Star has and Tide doesn't.

Now what other station changes next? We don't need two classic rock stations Wave 104.1 and Rock 107

Hmmmmmmmmm? So,...they Play songs, that you haven't heard in a bit. I wonder what that is all about?

I forgot to listen yesterday. It used to be easy to remember when WMUU was still around, because there is this one location where I have been able to hear whatever is on the Myrtle Beach station instead. Of course, I removed the button when WMUU wasn't there any more. I shouldn't have because I still have Rush there on another station. When I do go to the beach, I'll be able to start listening from pretty far inland.

So apparently this is going to be one of the more traditional ACs.

What worried me before is that WEZV might decide this is a good idea. They didn't. They actually went more traditional. Which they need to do again. Easy sounds good for what they are, but when I'm at home, there are just lots more songs which can be considered "standards" on the radio. Easy can do those but the last time I listened, they werent playing nearly enough of them.

This isn't the thread, but the fact they want to play 60s music doesn't mean anything. Others have correctly interpreted the article as meaning it will be softer than Hot AC but not soft AC.

Regardless of the format, what you have is the Pencilnecks, selecting songs from the Allegedly Tested Well list or have just pulled their nose out of a Joel Whitburn book. They don't know what to play on their own, so you get the "Short List" on the grounds of both their fear, and their incompetence. This post will be followed by much Pencilneck reciprocation, as normal, but their efforts always flop like fish on a hot tin roof. A Station's Ratings are always the Residue of its Decisions.
There are thousands of good songs, within the fence of dozens of formats, but you have to know what they are, and acquire them for Airplay.

No, wrong, as usual, Jethro/Jethrene/Justin Boober,...my formatics have always worked! Have you always worked? Hmmm? No...it's Friday Night! Take the time to sit your juice box down, and inflate your girlfriend, for a night to remember. However, if not properly inflated, the Consultant will find out!

Back with the tired tranny jokes again. YAAAAAAAAWWWNNN... (PS: After some research, I can safely report that formatic is not a word, except as a trade name for a machine that punches out cookies. Maybe appropriate, as Scooter is apparently the trade name for a slob who punches cookies into his fat yap all day...)

I'm sure that insult has a lot of gravitas coming from an unemployed troll.. the radio version of The Simpsons "The Alien."

Remember Scooter, the guy is the long coat is not a consultant, but rather your psychiatrist. Make sure you take all the pills in the little cup.

And make sure your lawyer gets a copy of your last post, he'll want to know it exists before the plaintiff brings it up before the jury in a sexual harassment trial...

Well The Tide plays swears as they didn't bleep out f*** in the Tove Lo Talking Body song. Other stations play we love for life with some bleeping the word out which 94.5 clearly didn't do.

This is one very strange radio station.

Occasionally they'll do something soft. Actually, I tried out Star 92.1 on several occasions and they were doing something soft. Star does seems to lean more heavily toward the hard stuff. But The Tide is not a traditional AC at all. And even the station IDs reflect that. One time I heard the DJ say Rihanna was coming up. A lot of really hard stuff for an AC. Still, they'll throw in something like "Rock the Boat" or "An Innocent Man" that would be more at home on WEZV. It's just very strange. I thought surely after the station was Yes 94.5 before, they'd try that again. I should be relieved, though, because back then i was afraid they were experimenting to see if they could do that sort of thing on WEZV. WEZV is still a long way from ounding like Yes, but "Good Vibrations"? "Love Me Do"? That's not relaxing. Except by comparison with The Tide.

Star is absolutely obsessed with Uma Thurman for some reason. I'm going to guess her name is in the song's title. I don't think I heard that one on The Tide.

With The Tide and B-93.5 as competition (as if that could ever be true) , has Star crossed the line to CHR?

Someone on Wikipedia decided it had, and I just noticed it today. But they didn't give a source so I switched it back.
