Movin 97.5 Saturday Night Party Mix

Well, I must say that I am loving the way the Movin 97.5 Saturday night mixshow has been done over the past two or three weeks, and if this is the way things are going to be done Saturday nights on Movin, I just may start listening more often on Saturday nights! If only they had more mixes PRECISELY like the Saturday night one throughout the week!

Well, I'm not going to jump to any conclusions on who might be providing the mixes for that night, but whoever it is is doing a very good job arranging and piecing together those mixes for Movin now.

As of right now, Power 98.3 is now my new home on Sat. nights... but still I say great job Movin with their mix, and hopefully they decide to keep it up.

..Well I do have to give credit where credit is due!
The Saturday Night Block Party is definitely the highlight for me, but even outside of that, I must admit the format is pretty alright! They do have a good selection of hits going on right now and do also sound a bit better than previous times, and I must also give them extra credit for playing the brand new Madonna a few minutes ago, which I'm sure they were probably first in Phoenix with.

Lastly, I must also give them credit for holding an acceptable spot in ratings. For the most part, I'm loving the sound of rhythmic hit radio these days.

There's still room for improvement, but overall, good job Movin.

Since the demise of energy almost a year ago, I do check out movin alot more. I have always thought it be cool if they want total new dance at night and overnight and kept the mainstream a/c dance product they do for during the day. I do realize there is a conflict cause they are using the movin name and all. I also do like having ryan and billy on the station. Pretty cool to get the the l.a. buzz while getting the hits.

I doubt that the Movin name is a problem or an interferrence to anything they decide to play that's also rhythmic or top 40 radio friendly because I hear a few Movin's of somewhat different formats.

My favorite Movin is Movin 99.7 in San Fransisco (well, at least when it comes to how they were as of June/July 2009). The current Movin 99.7 would never work here since we already have 104.7 Kiss FM as is, but what I do like about San Fransisco's Movin that KZZP lacks is their mix shows.

Movin 97.5 adopting a format like Movin 99.7 in San Fransisco probably wouldn't not work with KKFR, KZON, and KZZP remaining in their current state, all together.

If Movin 97.5 just added more mixshows throughout the day, I'd be pretty content. Same with KZZP. I guess without the hits from back in the day, KMVA would have evolved to be like Movin 99.7 San Fransisco.

Latley I been checking out Movin more and more. I also have been checkin out BPM sirius/xm in the car. Today BPM was playing one great dance song after another. Wow made me long for the days of Energy. I still think it be sweet if they bumped seacrest to middays, bush man to pm drive and got pistol pete for Movin high energy after dark!!! I am cool with the office day mix they got going on but give us a little more thump thump thump when the lights go down!!!

That's funny that you brin.... um, office day mix? What? When did this start? Anyway, It's sunny that you bring this up now because I've been enjoying Movin 97.5 lately, but just haven't gotten around to mentioning it. I wanted to say something about it yesterday actually. These days I usually have Movin locked on Saturday Nights, but since I do dj at a bar during the same hours of the Movin mix, I will now miss it. (Feel free to use whatever definition of "miss" you wish to use here.) I wouldn't mind Movin doing the Pistol Pete thing in the evenings - even if it was just a segment of playing hits from today with only the top charting dance hits like Cascada, Madonna (which they already play), Tiesto, and other pop/electronic pop chart toppers from the America's and London. I wouldn't even mind if they just had a show like The Weekend Throwdown (which airs Sunday Nights on Kiss FM), that aired on 97.5 every evening.

Ryan Seacrest doesn't really excite me, but I do not mind him being on, although I'd prefer some live, fun, upbeat on air personalities tag teaming throughout the day, then maybe we could just check in to Seacrest for news updates every now and then. I'd still also like a Movin mix throughout the weekday, morning, afternoon, drive home, and evenings at whatever times and lengths they choose, as long as it is not ridiculously short.

As far as Satellite radio, my favorite station on there is BBC Radio 1. It's ALWAYS the station I end up turning to the most every single time. The Pulse and 90's is pretty good, too. BPM, although very worthy of having, could improve in many ways. I wish the U.S. top 40/ CHR's could / would operate their stations like BBC Radio 1 in London. You cannot imagine how happy I'll be once I go there.
