Movin 99.7 San Francisco/Oakland

Yep,, Over the internet... More currents,,, some POP/Rock cross overs and newer Dance Music and Remixes... They were already moved to the CHR panel,,, so I guess you Frisco peeps finally got a full blown CHR,,, though still a rhythmic leaning one... Will they change the name from Movin once the Transition is complete.... Or will they go the route of the Saint Louis Movin 101.1 and blow it up to Talk format or something... You already have two Urban Rhythmics,,,Wild and KMEL, and you got two hot ACs, Alice and Star..... you got Dance on Energy 92.7,,,, CHR is all thats left.

wild is a chr/top 40.

wikipedia says KMVQ is now a Rhythmic station.

Wild is still a Rhythmic CHR I dont care what Wikipedia says..... 99% of the playlist is Hip Hop and Rhythmic POP..... Does Wild play any crossover Rock Hits,,, do they play kelly Clarkson, taylor Swift,, ETC???/ I may have to listen online and find out...

I forgot about your CHR School station on 89.3... its a decent station, but its not like a regular CHR,,, that can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.

89.3 KOHL

Yes that would be the one.. I know it isnt full market.. but it sounds decent listening online.

KOHL ls in Fremont (just north of San Josè) it gets the best signal in the San Josè area.

Yeah I knew it wasnt really a Frisco station.. Its not a bad station at all though.

Wild barely plays hip-hop and R&B. KMEL is still urban. Wild is Top-40.

Wild 94.9 is a Rhythmic CHR whereas 106.1 KMEL is an Urban/Hip Hop outlet. I think it's good that nowadays it's much easier to distinguish these 2 sister stations as there used to be a time you could barely tell them apart.
.
Wild plays Taylor Swift, but then so do plenty of other Rhythmic CHRs. Wild is also playing a lot more Rhythmic Pop these days, as opposed to a few years ago when it was much more about crossover Hip Hop and R&B. Then again, that is the trend with many of the nation's Rhythmic CHR stations. In 2010 Rhythmic CHRs are sounding broader musically than they have been in quite some time, and are playing several forms of Rhythmic music as opposed to just relying on the mid 2K staples of Hip Hop and R&B.

Thats cause hip hop is dying,,, Unfoutunately they lost Energy in SF too,, now that sucked,, but I bet Movin picks up some more dance soon...
