Movin format

Is the Movin Format on its way to Sacramento? I suspect it is and very soon too!

Would it fly in Sacramento? All depends on the current demographic and ethnic make-up of the populace...

Oh, easily. KZZO will be blown up any time now. But, I'm not quite sure about the Movin format in Sac. KHYL has a pretty loyal following and doesn't do *horrible* in the ratings for what it is. But then again, V101 is a STALE product. Just listen for a half-hour, you'll see what I mean.

I'd expect CBS to blow up the zone to go after a bigger piece of the pie. Maybe a format carried in the top five of the last book. No, no Free-FM, no competing against itself with KNCI, I doubt SAC could handle a 2nd Jazz station, and they're already positioned against KBMB.

That would only leave one station.

Yep, expect to see a CBS rocker. With probably a little more alternative lean towards the old Howard format. Which was a shame to see it go, I think the format (sans Howard) could have done real well with the way KWOD realigned.

Which is another one to be watching in the next year.....
