Movin' In

I believe Q96. Q106 came on the air about 1987, launching after a Padres game, the first song was by Prince. KSDO 102.9 (KS-103) had recently flipped from Top 40 to NAC, leaving a void in the market. My understanding is that Q96 was a Top 40 station longer than that.

That's my understanding, anyway. Good question though!
Do you know the answer?

There will be no interference to KYXY from KSIQ Campo as the mileage separation requirements for a B1 (KSIQ) to a full class B station (KYXY) have been met, transmitter site to transmitter site. The sale value of a B with some billing in the El Centro market to a B1 C.P. in the San Diego market will be at least five times greater.

And the day it happens, there will be a nice little format gap for a station in El Centro to pic up CHR!

Clear channel doesn't own any stations ther do they? If so, I will bet that one of them will go Top 40.

How will that signal reach from Campo into the coastal areas? They must have a heck of a mountain top location for the antenna.

Sounds like they are targeting the millions of illegals that come across the border between Campo and Otay.
