Movin' Mornings

Looks like Movin has added Monti Carlo and now DJ Kaz to nights for the station (reports allaccess.com). Who do you think they'll add for afternoons/mornings?? Local or syndicated?

It seems they are moving pretty quick to get a full airstaff, especially after posting and re-posting want ads over the past 6 months looking for people. Why the rush all of sudden? Do you think they smell blood in the form of KBKS and want to do something immediately to sustain their ratings and make 106.1 a non-factor going forward?

It is curious that KQMV is hiring an airstaff during the Fall book. Why take a chance of screwing things up at such an important time? And you would think that KQMV would try to bring in some serious big-time talent...I've never heard of either of these personalities! From what I've read on the Atlanta board, Monti Carlo is a stand-up comedian who was hired to be part of a four-person morning show and she left after only two weeks...I can't seem to find anything about DJ Kaz. Doesn't it make more sense to at least wait until the final two weeks of December (the unrated weeks) to break in what may be unseasoned personalities? Hopefully mammaknowsbest will explain the thought process of the Seattle team...

The reason why there is no BIG TIME talent headed to Seattle Movin': Sandusky is cheap!! Not willing put up the money to get them, and the way Sandusky treats employees, who would want to work there!?!

So...if that's the case, who could they get who is cheap, local and doesn't care about being treated like crap:). Really though, there has got to be somebody, what about Whoopi?

Well never mind the deleterious details guys, MOVIN must be hot or somebody wouldn't be posting so much toadying propaganda about it on this news making site!

I really don't think that Movin' would go syndicated in the mornings... top rated morning shows in top markets are all local, or am I wrong?

If Movin wants to compete with T-man, and the new KISS morning show (which I'm sure isn't too far out) My opinion, they'll have to go local.

Now Fitz's question, "who is local and cheap willing to be treated like crap". For Movin' to succeed in the mornings, I'd assume find a well known local talent... who would that be? eh, not sure.

Or am I wrong, is there a syndicated morning show that could possibly succeed in Seattle/Tacoma?? Whoopi definately ain't it.

To all the people saying that Whoopi should be on Movin', I have one question:

WHY?!

I think Movin' should get Pat Cashman to do mornings....hell he's been on every other damn station in town.

Would YOU wake up at 2 in the morning to work that Titanic? Please!
