Im so sick of all this damn disco. DANCE MUSIC PLZ.
and I think its rather stupid to say "The 80s and 90s mix that makes you move" as you go into a song that was released in 2001.

Whoever the d.j. that was on Saturday night on Movin was awful. He had a ton of dead air, would let his songs die out in the middle of phoners then abruptly start the next song, walked all over vocals, would go into stop sets letting his songs fade out then start a bed just seconds before hitting the next element. He kept calling the show different names although it was clearly called "The Saturday Night Disco Show" on the imaging. It was some of the worst air work I've heard in Los Angeles in ages. Movin would never hire Archer. They don't hire professionals for their air staff. They hire street sounding people.
Having gone around to the L.A. agencies this past week, they do not consider Movin a station that is going to last much longer. It has no credibility. Rick Dees has already been branded someone who can't deliver.
Clear Channel was the big winner here having kept Disco Saturday Night and blunted any possible move Emmis can make.
Also, what's up with the rumor going around the agencies that Hot is going to go Hip-Hop?
You know, I hate to say it, but Movin doesn't have a great record for hiring pros. They have a few, but after hiring Dees they blew it with the midday girl and the rest was all down hill. Weird too as I believe they're a union shop, so they have to at least spend scale on their jocks. Movin really has been a mess from the get go, it's a great example of how NOT to flip a station. Now KBIG has all but handed them the Rhythmic audience and they'll probably bungle that too. Dees was a great talent, and at the right station he could still flourish, but not at Movin.
As for the rumors about Hot 92 going Hip Hop, well with Michael Martin in the building now anything is possible. From what I hear he's already cementing his reputation in Burbank, and so far it isn't that good...

Hey Liggins, glad to see your $340 million investment has paid big divedends 7 years later.
Anyways, I'd get Harvey, Theo and the Goodfellas and Eric Cubeeche and K Sly back and have Kevin "Slow Jamming" James do the Slow Jamz Sun-Thurs nights.

No, what KMVN is dumb.
It has lost all credibility it had(it really didn't have 0.1%) and Emmis needs to get rid of this sinking ship and go Active Rock. No they won't get over a 2 with rock, but are you gonna sit here and tell me a 0.9 is a success? At least with rock, they'll have a salable demo and you can even pair a Active Rocker with Power! Disco already has another home where it belongs, on Saturday Nights on 104.3 and it has too many hours on Saturday Nights(needs to be 6-7 hours instead of 9.)
Imagine, hearing Disturbed, Seven Avengefold, Trapt mixed in with some Ozzy, GNR, Metallica, Led Zepplin, and such. Look at WYSP or KIOZ as great Active Rockers!

KNAC never got any decent numbers as an Active Rock station back when that kind of music sold millions of records. What makes you think you could make a living in L.A. with that format in 2007 considering the vast demographic changes that have taken place over the last 20 years.
