Movin' The Egg To CBS' Face

Let's see... you have a station that is 3.0 and Top 10, so you change formats and it drops to 1.9, way below WRR. Anyone at CBS want a do-over?

What demos is that 1.9 coming from? And what demo was the 3.0 in? Because if they have 2/3rds of their previous audience, but in a much more sell-able demo, they may very well be happy...

He's refering to the 12+ Numbers.

I am so with you on this, Alan. OASIS was a niche format, and those listeners would have been loyal for life. But the blowhards at one of the UBER-corps couldn't be happy with fan loyalty... it's about the numbers. So let's create a format in which there are already 4 - 6 viable alternatives in DFW. <<No, I don't think that will work, MR. GM>> WAIT... let's add a funky beat to rehashed remakes. Now that's RADIO <<GOOD IDEA, SIR!>> :-\

88.1 is wonderful radio, if you lie that sort of thing. But OASIS at least had money to back its play. Rue the day, CBS... rue the day.

... and the champagne corks are flying on I-75 as we speak. ;D

And what about 105.3 dropping to a 1.6? Lite FM is the only CBS station to score above a 2.0!

What are you talking about? KLUV scored nearly a 4.

CBS( "Can't Broadcast Seriously") has lost it with its Free Fm, and is "Losin with Movin".It seems their oldies/classic hits whatever type formats have been their success. K104 will be number 1 again shortly. Every now and then they take a dip only to roar back stronger than ever. Consider KISS being #1 in the trend a fluke.

Yeah that 1 gets misread as an I. Maybe they should change the signs to say ONE75?

To-mato... toma-to. Regardless of where UBER-corp is located, their view is still - and always - going to be the bottom of a toilet. Their ratings are crap. They flush their talent down the drain. Well, enough bathroom humor for one day. If you fancy more, check out a non-CBS station - KTCK. :-X
