MOVIN!

With the exception of Emmis in L.A., is CBS the only company agressively persuing the MOViN format?

Lately it seems if a market does not have a MOViN formatted station, a CBS o/o will flip to one.

It's this years JACK! At this rate CBS will have pre-fab formats installed in all of their markets...
More deejays in the unemployment line...

Why do you think CBS keeps putting on Jacks and Movin's? They're eventually selling off their radio properties one by one over a 5 year plan.

If you're a jock with personality STAY CLEAR OF CBS!!!!!! Just stay clear period. Los Angeles, NYC, San Francisco and Dallas are in very bad shape from bad programming to bad management.

Let's hope most of these clueless PD's, OM's, Managers don't worm their way into CC, CUMULUS, ABC, Emmis, Entercom, Cox!!! This little "Club" has already been going on for sometime and has to stop so fresh new thinking can emerge. Too many CBS toilets where the TURDS rise to the TOP.

At a certain major market CBS cluster several of the managers and PD's have come from CC. In some cases they have gone from CBS to CC back to CBS!!!! Enough of this nonsense!!!

This same thread started by you is on the New York, Chicago and Dallas-Fort Worth boards. Maybe more. Why?

Tailor your post to Los Angeles. Movin in L.A. is different than other Movin stations since Zapoleon Media is the primary consultant not Alan Burns. And Rick Dees holds much influence over the stations' programming.

Sandusky in Seattle has the original Movin. Simmons Media in Salt Lake City is also using the format. And how many CBS stations have this format?

Univision has a local adaptation in Albuquerque, even.

And we know how bad Univision's version will be if the Great One David Eduardo runs it. Am i right kids?

As bad as KLVE, KSCA, KRCD, KLNV, KSOL, LKQV, KHOT, KOMR, KISF, KLTN, KLNO, KESS, WOJO, WKAQ-FM, WAMR, etc., etc., etc?

In any case, I do not "program" the stations, as I am part of the team that builds great radio stations in our 17 markets.

You left off the list that market-sweeping all-bus-schedule-and-obituary format in Peru.

I hear Zapoleon tried that format in Ecuador, but didn't execute the raposa eradication campaign property.

I find it amusing in an ongoing manner how you dismiss a station (actually, I had several with the same format) that provided a vital service to the rural population and, at the same time, made money. You seem to dismiss anything of value that does not meet your elitist standards. Serving folks who had no phones or mail service with a way to convey messages and a system for learning of local events, schedules and such is a pretty decent achivement.

Until the giant rats ate thru the control room wiring.

But I do find that story more credible than most of the rest of your resume.

Like I said, you are welcome to disprove anything there.
