Six years ago, 100.3 and 99.7 aired classic hits under the branding "Z-100". In 2000, the stations kept the Z-100 name, yet changed the format to all 80's.
As the 80's craze died, 99.7 broke off from the simulcast in late 2002 to become an FM simulcast of 790 WSKO. In March 2003, 100.3 became WKKB, a classic rock/current rock hybrid similar to 94 HJY, but targetting the New Bedford area.
Upon Citadel's sale of 100.3 (and 102.7) to Davidson Media, 100.3 flipped to a Spanish Tropical format, again targetting Providence, as Latina 100.3, in early 2005.

Or simply, WHJJ becomes an Air America affiliate, keeping it's existing branding.

The only other thing I can think of is WWLI changing it's name from Lite 105 to Lite Rock 105 in either 2000 or 2001. Oh, and also Hot Talk station 550 The Buzz (WLKW, had Mancow in the morning) was sold to ABC and became Radio Disney WDDZ, while 1450 WHRC changed calls to WLKW and began simulcasting 1340 WNBH New Bedford. And of course, the never ending messes at 990 WALE and 1320 WARL.
Nice list, Kenny.
