Moving Jeopardy! to make sure it doesn't get "Trump Bumped"

So my local Fox affiliate (WZTV-17) in Nashville has moved the current run of Jeopardy! from 5:00 PM Central (6:00 PM Eastern) to 3:30 PM Central (4:30 PM Eastern) since last week. My guess is about 7 or 8 episodes that were already in the can got "Trump Bumped" and probably won't be seen until the end of the year in reruns on WZTV's sister station WUXP, which airs last season's Jeopardy! episodes in an afternoon game show block with Family Feud.

Have any stations where you live moved Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, 25 Words or Less, or any other game show or highly watched talk show so it doesn't get "Trump Bumped"?

KCWE expanded to 10am so 25 Worlds or Less not on at moment 9am. KSHB moved Jeopardy to 1pm for Newscast at 3pm. FOX4KC hasen't done anything on Weekdays to add Newscast.

Opposite here with Family Feud; it keeps getting preempted nightly for a KHQ-KNDU combined COVID-19 update at 6:30PM. It's reruns anyways so it doesn't matter.

POTUS conferences very rarely affect Wheel of Fortune because of its prime access mandate, although that leads to it getting bumped constantly by town halls and national news repeats.

On the day of the impeachment, WABC New York announced ahead of time that Jeopardy! and Wheel would air on 7.2 Live Well Network (now Localish). Since there is nothing but news between General Hospital at 3:00 and Jeopardy! at 7:00, there's really no need to do any long-term moves.

I wish Nashville had an affiliate as considerate as WZTV/WUXP for Wheel. WKRN pre-empts it once a week during NFL season for local program "The Mike Vrabel Show", and again on various Thursdays year-round for town hall meetings. Only thing is, WZTV wouldn't be able to show it at 6:30 Central without being pre-empted by MLB and NFL pregame shows.

WUXP had Wheel paired with Jeopardy! for at least a decade and change until WKRN bought the rights away.

If only WUXP/WZTV could buy it back from them. Doesn't WUXP have a bizarre sandwich of Family Feud/Family Feud/Jeopardy!/Family Feud because Jeopardy! can't air in the same time slot as Wheel if they're on separate stations?

I have to wonder if Wheel airing on WKRN, an ABC affiliate, four days a week, gets better ratings than if it were to air on FOX or MyTV five days a week.

Also, I just remembered. Back when NBC and CBS traded Thursday Night Football before it moved to FOX, several stations that aired Jeopardy! at 7:30 would move it to earlier time slots, most often 7:00, bumping Wheel of Fortune. Some stations that did this included WBZ CBS 4 in Boston (bumping Wheel overnight), WTHR NBC 13 in Indianapolis (bumping Wheel to 7:30 on a subchannel), WDIV NBC 4 in Detroit (pre-empting Wheel entirely), and WDTN NBC 2 in Dayton (bumping Inside Edition to 3:00 AM and putting J! directly opposite Wheel on competitor WHIO CBS 7). The NBC's do the same during the Summer and Winter Olympics due to the optional program "The Olympic Zone" at 7:30/6:30 Central.

KMEG CBS 14 in Sioux City did something a bit more unique. Since they don't have a 6:00 newscast, they're one of the few Central Time Zone affiliates that airs J! and Wheel together from 6-7, in that order. On TNF days, Wheel would move to 6:00 and J! would move to 4:30, replacing the last of four consecutive airings of Judge Judy.

When TNF first moved to FOX, Cincinnati's affiliate WXIX 19 initially moved Jeopardy! (primary run) from 7:30 to 7:00 on TNF days, bumping Wheel to 1:30 AM. After they got complaints for this (especially because they also air Jeopardy!'s secondary run at 6:00), they changed their scheduling this season to put Wheel at 6:00 PM on TNF days, while still putting Jeopardy! at 7:00 (and now moving J!'s secondary run to 1:30 AM), which makes WXIX the first station in the US to broadcast Wheel on these days since airing it before 7:00 is generally not allowed.

Syracuse affiliate WSYT 68 moves J! to 6:30 on TNF days, replacing Judge Judy and putting it before Wheel instead of after. On days with MLB games that start at 7:00 Eastern, both shows move to sister WNYS My 43.

So my local Fox affiliate (WZTV-17) in Nashville has moved the current run of Jeopardy! from 5:00 PM Central (6:00 PM Eastern) to 3:30 PM Central (4:30 PM Eastern) since last week.

Are you sure they're carrying the press conferences live? I don't see that in their online program listings.

I'm also not aware that many network affiliates are running this live. They tend to go 2 hours or more without commercial break.

Does the OP mean local press conferences?? As far as I know in the larger TV Markets (top 20) Such as Governor Newsom has the California response to COVID-19 at 1pm PST and Mayor Garcetti's LA COVID-19's Press Conference with City and County officials COVID-19 updates at 5pm PST.

“We have been working closely with all of our syndication partners to find opportunities to involve them in our coverage as we cover the coronavirus crisis, which obviously has a medical focus but it’s also impacting lots of different industries,” said Erica Hill-Rodriguez, VP and news director of Fox-owned KTTV/KCOP Los Angeles.

KTTV has upended its entire schedule to cover the pandemic in Los Angeles. From 4 a.m. to 10 a.m., the station airs Good Day LA, and TMZ’s Levin has joined that morning newscast several times over the past few weeks. The station’s noon newscast is now dedicated to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s daily press conference, and at 1 p.m., it airs Los Angeles County’s daily health briefing. At 5 p.m., it carries Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s daily press briefing, heading back into its own news at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., it airs the Coronavirus Crisis Special Report, which “focuses on separating fact from fear,” said Hill-Rodriguez.

I will say Governor Lee bumps one of the Judge Judy reruns at 3:00 PM Central (4:00 PM Eastern) on a daily basis which I don't really mind, but today Lee's going on at 3:30 and Fox 17 is moving Jeopardy! to 4:00 PM Central (5:00 PM Eastern) which still keeps it from being pre-empted by "the Donald" for now.

KXAN NBC 36 in Austin, TX usually airs Jeopardy! at 6:00 Eastern/5:00 Central. It has since been moved up to 4:00 Central.

I saw Jeopardy was on at 2AM on late Thur/early Fri may have aired US Senators Townhall on WWMT. I know Nexstar WOTV aired the townhall which I didn't watch as I don't like the US Senators from Michigan and I don't watch townhalls as they are borning.
