Moving Trucks headed to 210 Interstate North Parkway

Caddy and Dallas let the cat out of the bag yesterday, that Kicks/106.7 will be moving from it's long time home at 210 Interstate North Parkway 6th floor to the Cumulus studios off of Glen ridge near St.Joesph's Hospital. They will now be in the same building as Q100,Rock 100.5,99x,I think The Fan is in that building too.

Thanks to Roddy, we've known that since the CluelessCumulus' takeover.

yeah, but it's not news until Caddy and Dallas let that darn cat out of the bag.
Really I don't think listeners really care where the station is broadcasting from, until they have to go their to pick up their prizes for being caller #9.
That being said, Kicks will be much closer for me than the Bull, so I may just switch stations. Plus I might just run into Christopher Rude.

Is THIS what Buck & Kincade are hyping as The Big Announcement scheduled for 2:15 on Friday?

I hope the announcement is they are killing their radio show, to pursue a career in the circus!

That's strange, you would think that they would take 106.7 with them,I assumed that both stations would go. Caddy said he has been going to work @ 210 Interstate North Parkway for 19 years,he said that they were cleaning out the studio and he found a pic of him from when he was on Y106.

This morning caddy and Dallas talked to Jeff Dauber from the Bert Show and Southside Steve, next Friday will be their first broadcast in their new digs.

I will start the speculation.

#1 It was harder than expected to move 106.7's STL.

#2 There is something in the lease that requires Cumulus to pay rent and or have at least one radio studio at 210 Interstate North Parkway.

#3 106.7 is "trade bait" for some kind of deal / station swap that Cumulus is working on.

#4 Construction on the new 106.7 studio way behind.

Not moving 106.7 goes against the cluster advantage of shared expenses and talent. These are my best guesses. That is all they are uninformed guesses. Somebody out there knows the truth.

What's even more interesting is the WYAY talent is staying at Interstate North.

What does that mean, Roddy? That the studios will move but not the airstaff? Or that the 106.7 operation will remain at the current location....equipment, airstaff etc.?

#5 Cumulus forgot that they owned another radio station in Atlanta and just discovered they've been competing with themselves.

Studios were in the middle of completion for both WYAY and WKHX last Wednesday when I was in the Cumulus building...

WYAY is still broadcasting from the 210 Interstate location

So then the answer is #4.

IIRC a few years ago (?) there were some postings about 106.7's STL and sound processing / quality which have stopped when Cumulus took over that is why I even mentioned #1.

Logic and broadcasting do not always mix, thus #3

Logic and Lawyers do not always mix, thus #2
