Movin's 99.7 TV spots

Last night there were a bunch of TV spots for Moving 99.7 on the 11:00 p.m. news. The spots were good but there were no personalties.

Back when they changed they said there were going to keep the recently hired Katie Mason but I have never heard her.

Are they finally staffing up? Or are they just planning to run it like a juke box?

Sounds like there may be more personality on an XM or Siruis Channel.

Newsperson

To be quite honest, I doubt Movin' 99.7 will ever hire any on-air
talent. If they did, they would already been on the air by now!
So, my guess is, the station will remain jockless.

Newsperson, why of course XM and Sirius has more Personality than Movin!! They are by far (CBS) the most Repulsive commercials Ive ever seen!! Things are so sloppy these days!! Sirius has DJ s like Norman N Nite, Marty Mitchell and Bill Rock, XM has the Legendary Phlash Phelps I predict in a year Movin will be G-o-n-e, I would put money on it!! I really hope that all the Ex KFR_ listeners move to Satelite by then!! Kenny in Concord

The Format designers want it to run JocK Free for the first 3 months..So the audience can build..."Brad & Taysia" are all over the country doing Movin with "Your Call letter here" at the top of the hour. The TV ads are the same country wide too, just the frequency changes on the TV Graffic. Kinda the "Diet Coke" of radio. It's all the same no matter where you open the can.

That's nothing new, it's just the "synergy" that big media corporations take advantage of to save money. A couple of years ago, I googled "Kiss FM" and got a list of at least a dozen Clear Channel stations. They all had a CHR music format, as I remember, and they all had the exact same logo, the one that originated with KIIS-FM in LA - the obvious differences being the frequency, and 2 "Ss", instead of 2 "I"s. Only a couple of stations deviated from that logo, and Kiss-FM in San Francisco was one of them - perhaps because their Old School format deviates.

You can now find old Top 40 music surveys from the 60s online...Bill Earl's website, for example. Generally, all the Drake "Boss Radio" stations had almost identical logos and survey formats with very little deviation (KFRC was not "Boss," ).The same was true of the Chuck Blore "Color Radio" stations. "My mommy listens to _ _WB, Channel __"

Like I said, nothing new...
