MOVIN'S FIRST 100 DAYS

AQH: The word “our” was part of Movin’s positioner. Haven’t been near Factoria in months.
ODB doesn’t make me feel good either, but like the liner says: ‘listen for an HOUR and you’ll feel good,’ or something to that effect.
By heavier rhythmic stuff I mean light/med rap, hip-hop, a little bump and grind. Re: hearing certain titles after 7p. It’s called day parting….airing particular titles at a particular time that will reach that listener most likely to like those titles and most likely to be listening at that time. No school in the summer, right? Play some of the stuff you’d normally play evenings, middays, which Movin' has done and is doing, but they're playing less of those titles during the day NOW and playing more mainstream titles instead, including, as you say, more gold from the past 7 years.

I know what dayparting is, all I am asking for are examples of songs that, by your words, aren't normally played before 7p.

PD, Ciara and Astley back to back to back? It’s called variety. If you don’t like one of those titles, it doesn’t mean you’re going to tune out for good.

Doesn't mean they'll get as many quarter-hours as they could, either.

RE: yes.com…YOU detect the subtle music changes by either checking yes.com more frequently and comparing notes (should you so desire) or listen to Movin’ for an extended period of time. Like boaz says, at this point in time, Movin’ continues to lay a foundation.
Once the foundation is set, they’ll reach that W25-44 target.

They're not going to get that female 25-44 target by chopping off the older music and playing the newer stuff.

AQH:
In just a little over an hour's time this morning while I was at work, I heard Movin' play "Borderline" AND "Holiday" by Madonna; Prince and The Revolution's "I Would Die 4U;" all hits---22 years ago! Toss in Chic's "Le Freak" from 1978(!) within that same time frame. Oh, a nearly 20 year old hit, "Control" by Janet Jackson was aired within that same time frame as well. I'd call that stuff 'older music', wouldn't you? The kind of stuff a, let's say, 25-44(+, even) female would probably LOVE to hear.

I never said they stopped paying the older music. Read my previous posts where I said that they changed one r two positions in clocks to add a more recent gold.

Now, how about an answer to my question about the songs normally not played before 7p?

1, AQH, it seems they are playing even MORE of the older stuff than just 2 weeks ago, and 2, to be honest, I can't give you the so called (by me) 'after 7p' artist's names and titles. I just don't know them. Only based on what I hear. PEACE.

Hey 70Radio - it's the former Rick Stuart. If you are who I think you are, give me a way to reach you!

After you login Rick, click on the 'My Messages' bar above and send me a personal message--it's all self-explanatory. We'll find out who's who!

Hmmm...kinda disappointed. I wanted to know what you were talking about. And you were the one touting yes.com. Guess that doesn't help very much, huh?

After being out of radio for awhile AQH, I'm afraid that if I chose an artist for you from yes.com that I thought was a little 'bump and grind,' the song would turn out to be a ballad! :) So...I'm just Movin' on. Have a good day.
