Mr. Garibaldi Dismisses the War on Xmas

Well, at least Jerry Doyle hasn't sold his entire soul to the Fox War on Christmas Campaign. In some rerun I heard tonight from some show this week, he said the entire thing was crazy and suggested there's an Irish guy at Fox who has been spiking the egg nog this week after a week of going ballistic on his own show, NBC's Today Show, the TV, his column.....

I still haven't figured out what the heck is Doyle's story. The Bruce Willis clone did a great job during his stint on Babylon 5 and suddenly he appears as a conservative talkshow host on second tier conservatalk outlets (and a satellite service near you). I can't agree with him on everything, but at least the guy isn't one of the sheep reading GOP press releases on the air.

Same topic on two boards. This must really be bugging you.

Cable news is entertainment. The only difference between Fox and CNN et al is that they entertain the viewers from a slightly different angle. <P ID="signature">______________

The secularist-hating FNC folks are such liars, bullsh***ers,
and propagandists about this phoney war on Xmas, one
wonders if they are any more credible on other issues than
the Bush-hating Liberal Media Establishment is.

And this is from a former "Fox Fan" !!!

The putrid hatemonger Bill O'Reilly sounds more and more
like David Duke in a respectable suit. Picture O'Reilly
in a Charlie Chaplin mustache, shouting in German.

BTW -- Who is Garibaldi and when/where is he on?

That's a reference to Babylon 5, a sci-fi show that aired a few years ago, where Jerry Doyle played the security chief of the Babylon 5 station. His character on the show was named Garibaldi. I hear Doyle's show in the evenings on XM Radio. He's one of the many second tier conservative hosts that tend to air on the second "conservatalk" station in larger markets (along with Ingraham, O'Reilly, Gallagher, Reagan, etc.).

Thank you. I'm strictly an "original series" trekkie.

And of course classic science fiction, in which plot
isn't secondary to special effects.
