with all the talk and changes going on at 98.7/107.5 in recent days, NO ONE or NO POST has answered this question - IS WBLS' LEGENDARY Hal Jackson going to be staying on at the station doing his 3 to 6 PM Sunday Classics show? Call me an old-time New Yorker on this one.... :D

It hasn't been formally announced, but it's widely expected that Hal Jackson will remain, along with the gospel and Caribbean blocks.

One of the stipulations made by the Sutton family when they relinquished control of WBLS to YMF Media during the bankruptcy proceedings was that 4 people that were currently employed by WBLS could never be fired/terminated - one of those people is Hal Jackson. I'll look for the other names; it could be that Clay Berry and Debi B. (Hal's co-hosts on Sunday Classics) are included.

SR VP of WBLS Deon was on WRKS Sunday during Open Line saying he wants to put Sharpton on 9a-10a Sunday with the Open Live Show on from 10a-12n. I heard this myself
