Ken Glidewell was one of the top-flight personalities I have ever known in this silly-ass business. He was as genuine as they come, and you always knew where you stood and where he was coming from...and he was a living example of how not to take yourself or life too seriously.

I often affectionately said that he was put on this planet for one reason only: to find your sensitive spot, press it, and giggle like a child when you got irritated at him. Never mean-spirited...and when it was time to turn it off...he was one of the most rock-solid friends you could ever ask for.

All the flags in Hamilton should be at half-mast. Mr. K...you are very much missed.

I'll echo everything Rob has said and more. I had the honor of working with K many years ago and watched him develop and become one of the best people to grace the airwaves in this town. I loved his sense of humor and the way he presented it on air. Once K was your friend, he was always your friend, no matter what the circumstances.
Rest In Peace, Ken. We'll all miss you.

This is turning out to be such a horrible year ... Yet another great talent, friend, and former co-worker of mine taken far too soon.

Ken was just an amazing person and I count myself lucky for having had the opportunity to have worked with him ... He was one of the people who helped to make my short stint in Cincinnati an experience I've never forgotten in the 10 years since I left there.

All of my sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends ... and to anyone else who's mourning his passing along with me.

If memory serves me correctly he also played in a band called "The Wing Nuts" when he was at WAZU / WING-FM. They played at one of our big summer cruise-in events (sponsored by another radio station). Only met him a couple of times, seemed like a good guy. Never worked with him, but everyone I know who did says he was the best. Condolences to his family and friends.

Nothing has made me this sad in a long, long time.

I will remember Ken for his smile and his laugh.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
