MRS Ventures - Pine Bluff

Craig Eastham won his lawsuit against MRS Ventures-Jerry Russell last Friday. The judge awarded Craig and family a $295,181 judgment against MRS. In typical Jerry Russell fashion, he didn't even show up for court, claiming he didn't know about it. However, he was obviously served as the hearing couldn't have proceeded without proof of service. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end.

In the event that Russell can't pay his debt, would the stations go back to Craig?

How would this affect the LMA already in place by that preacher from New York??

I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN!!! Sorry. I just can't help but to gloat wide of the whole thing. Russell cannot proceed to pay up. It looks like Craig and Dawn REALLY stuck it to MRS Ventures really good!

Good for you, Craig and Dawn!! A job well done.

A real worst case scanario for Russell (and I doubt he is reading this post): Chapter 11. He might as well go ahead and fold his Misarable Radio Stations franchise. He owns them but never really took good care of them.. He's just wasting radio technology and "getting paid" for it since 1993. Yeah right!

As for the LMA to that New York preacher, we'll see how that pans out.
______________

Nothing to it....

If yu think JR is actually going to cough up the money he now owes, or if you think he will even consider acting on what the court has ordered him to do, then I have some "ocean front property in arizona" I'll sell you.

Russell will duck this judgment, like he has other court ordered actions. No change therefore for the Miserable Radio Stations.

Tyler Morning Telegraph (Tyler, TX) reports...

Russell is actually denying any involvement in the stations. He claims the statiosn belong to the company, and that he has sold them. More Russellian double-talk, I suspect.

The article is in the January 27th issue.
Edited by musicsweep on 01/27/06 09:32 PM.

Typical Jerry Russell. The FCC's website still lists MRS Ventures as the owner. No transfer application has been filed.
