MSNBC Prime Time A.O. (After Olbermann) Finishes In Third Place

I think MSNBC and CNN can't admit that Fox News is dominating and will for quite sometime, although during
the 10:00 hour Wednesday Night (2-2), while MSNBC and CNN were covering the events unfolding in Egypt,
Fox News was showing a interview with Arizona Senator John McCain, i understand Fox News and their
commitment to covering newsmakers, but they should have delayed that interview and stuck to what's more
important.

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't MSNBC in third place even when Olbermann worked there?
There are so many ways to slice and dice ratings that just about any claim can be substantiated. For most of the past year, MSNBC has been #2 in prime-time with the desired demographic (25-54?).

Ratings always spike for CNN during "crises". I doubt that ParkerSpitzer and PiersMorgan will sustain their ratings bumps beyond this week, unless we suddenly see a series of Major Tragic Events. Probably the only person more worried than Gloria Vanderbilt about the safety of Anderson Cooper in the past 36 hours is his CNN Boss. AC360 is the only thing holding up CNN Prime Time.

...IU'll correct you, because you're wrong. ;D CNN was consistently a distant third against Fascist Noise Channel and MSNBC...

I was no big fan of Olbermann, but his replacement (O'Donnell) pales in comparison. The show is bland, boring, and lacking any intrigue. I'm sure O'Donnell is an intelligent reporter, but from a television standpoint, this won't work. I'm almost certain MSNBC is looking for a new 8-pm eastern host.

Alec Baldwin was and still is being rumored to be a high-profile addition to the MSNBC primetime roster...

OMG-------I thought I was in line for the 8PM slot on MSNBC------------bummer.

I'd have to agree. I didn't even like it when it was on 10:00 PM ET (I dunno why MSNBC thought I'd like it any better simply because it's on a new time). They should've just simply moved Ed Schultz over to that slot & called it a day instead of burying him at 10:00 PM ET.

As it is now, my ONLY news alternative when Parker/Spitzer is boring is whatever is on Mhz. Networks (That's normally via your local PBS station as a subchannel). This way, if I'm going to watch breaking news of some story abroad & the network crews aren't there, there's a pretty good chance I can catch the coverage straight from the foreign network which the domestic network is showing the video (And the RARE audio soundbyte if any at all) without having to worry about someone from New York interrupting the coverage to tell me what I've been watching (Like I don't already know that & can't read the graphics?).

Cheers :D
