MSNBC RADIO'S DAN SCANLAN REPORTS THAT GAYS ARE " IMMORTAL"

Did anyone hear newsman, Dan Scanlon, on MSNBC Radio news on 96.9 WTKK FM, quoting General Peter Pace, Bushie's chief of staff, say "gays are immortal..."

Gee, I guess Pace has made a major discovery.

Wonder, if he can bring that same discovery as to the problems at Walter Reed Army Hospital. Guess if there are gay injured veterans from the Viet...er Iraqui War the army hospital doesn't have to do anything to help them since they are "immortal"...

No, this is not SNL. They couldn't be that funny.

I have the utmost respect for the 4-star General.

He should not have to make the apology for which some are asking.

Wait, if gays are immortal, why isn't Liberace still headlining in Vegas?

I'm sure all the late-night talk shows will have some fun with that flub.

That's a stupid comment. America has moved on from the gay Liberace stereotypes. Too bad you haven't.

Whoa. That joke wasn't intended to be homophobic at all. It was tasteless, yes, but not in that way.

I wasn't saying that all gay people acted like him, he was just the first (OK, the second, but it's way too soon for John Inman jokes) dead gay celebrity I thought of.

Paul Lynde... and I have the Paul Lynde rule... If I'm flipping channels and see him on a show, I end up watching it. Because he was hilarious, especially on the Hollywood Squares.

Scanlan works for WW1, not MSNBC. Anchors NBC News Radio

I think you mean NBC News Radio. I believe Scanlan is a staffer at Westwood One. He is assigned by Westwood to anchor some NBC News Radio updates
and he also is the relief host for Westwood One's "First Light."
action central (GEC)

No. he said MSNBC. And yes, Scanlon corrected himself. Still, it was one of the great gaffs of radio news up with Harry Von Zell's " and now here is the President of The United States, Hebert Hoover.

The NBC News Radio anchor (from NBC, MSNBC or WW1) usually says before the lockout "more news on msnbc.com" but the radio service is NBC News Radio via
Westwood One.

that last blooper was "hoobert heaver"

Pat Whitley once tried to do a commercial for something and mean to say
"just heat, and eat" but said "eat and heave". It wasn't live, just a failed
take which I guess he eventually got right, but he and the producer
were laughing and goofing like crazy...and years later Pat played the tape
back on his restaurant show.
