MSNBC Replaces Tucker Carlson

MSNBC has canceled Tucker Carlton's show.

From the article:

NEW YORK - The bow tie is out at MNSBC. David Gregory is replacing Tucker Carlson as host of a one-hour show each evening.

The news network is making a handful of changes to respond to heavy political interest. Gregory’s new show is called “Race for the White House” and will be on each weekday at 6 p.m. starting next Monday.

Just blow up the whole freaking network and stick those documentries on it 24/7. I hate David Gregory. I think he sucks as Matt Lauer's fill-in on The Today Show.

MSNBC may have a nice news studio, but I don't like how that news channel leans toward the left and by replacing Carson with Gregory it just got more liberal.

However, I do like when they have those news documentaries on without the annoying scrolls running across the bottom screen.

All Gregory does is ask reasonable questions that the current administration doesn't want to answer, and that in itself makes him liberal. Thank god we have other news channels who wouldn't dare express a political lean.

;D

The reason I called him a liberal is because last year when Don Imus's show was canceled, he was guest hosting the morning show slot for a couple of days and his views back then came off to be liberal. He probably holds his views back while asking questions, but that network aside from Tucker Carson and Joe Scarborough has a very liberal leaning feel to me.

MSNBC tried to copy Fox News a few years ago and be a conservative outlet with Tucker, Scarborough, and Savage. That experiment obviously didn't work and I can't imagine that they thought it would. Now MSNBC has gone the other direction and based on ratings seems to be working real well.

Looking to Tucker Carlson to give the network a conservative opinion? What, was David Brooks not available?

I thought it was known that NBC was officially trying out a left-leaning outfit. Of course they had tried that before with Phil Donahue having a show but didn't follow through in the long-run. Savage came in, made a mess, and went out. Keith Olbermann has been doing quite well in his timeslot.

I watched Tucker's last show last night.

He went out with class.

Tucker's a class act.

Oh really?! ::)

Hopefully he will pop up on the "Fox News Channel"...

...not after that stunt F'nC pulled about six years ago in which they published Carlson's home phone number on their website and some Fox Noise fangoons called it and terrorised one of his children when they answered...

Tucker does show some class, too much for Fox but he's just a talking head. The evening of Black Monday, I think it was on Fox, he said that the stock market was the Economy. As I hope you know, it takes many markets to make the Economy. I saw him this evening commenting on Barak's speech, shallow as ever.

It's not the questions that Gregory asks, it's his arrogant attitude that's the problem. He has shown in press conferences that he has an anger management problem. When questions are answered, he behaves in a petty, childish manner if the people aren't deferential to him. Sam Donaldson may have been loud but he usually tried to be a professional. Gregory's not that good in the studio, either. NBC has had some good White House correspondents in the past, notably Tom Brokaw and Bob Jamieson. Some of their successors lack the gravitas they had.

Maybe Gregory has to ask tough questions in an attack mode since the current administration refuses to adress anything with the American people. THey stonewall, they lie, they attack others who disagree with them to keep the press off their tail,,,, so I have no problem with his questions. Of couse if the president was an honest upstanding person who respected the citizens of this country,,, he might get a little more respect.

Sorry, sack, not buying it. Other reporters ask their questions and get them answered (and have for the eight administrations of my lifetime) without having to resort to making it personal and being nasty, as Gregory too often does.

When Gregory expressed his "concern" about Tony Snow's cancer returning, I found it hard to believe, given the way he makes everything so personal.

The White House press corps is a joke. Last press conference I saw they were trying to make Bush a pundit on the current election cycle. I'm pretty sure it was Gregory who asked what he thought about Obama's universal health care plan.

Yeah, of the short segment of his new show I have watched, it did seem kind of boring. Nothing special.
I think the predecessor show was far better.
