MSNBC: SA May Be Losing Ground in HD Race

<a target="_blank" href=http://msnbc.msn.com/id/11096617/>http://msnbc.msn.com/id/11096617/</a>

Long article at MSNBC expressing puzzlement over why the home of Clear Channel doesn't have more stations broadcasting in HD, compared to other markets in Texas and other markets of comparable size.

I gues its like RDS also, just about every station in Houston has RDS and only a few in San antonio // Austin has RDS, I just noticed though this passed months that KLEY and Digital 104.9 both got RDS on and KGSR.

This could be that the only HD alliance members with FM stations in SA are Clear Channel and CBS. Everything else is owned by Cox, BMP, Univision or others that aren't members. Clear Channel only has two of it's FMs in place for HD and CBS is being held up with the Tower master antenna project/Landry's construction. Not much of a choice if there's only two stations running HD-2.
