msnbc ticker change

msnbc has a new news ticker, similar to what you see on ESPN, with subjects in the top line, text scrolling along the bottom; at least thats the way it was on Imus this morning. a nice improvment i think.

now all they need to do is...report news.

Interesting...when I was watching a few times yesterday, I saw them reporting news.

I hope FOX News Channel and CNN do the same thing. These two channels are unwatchable because of the annoying news ticker, and sometimes that scares me because one of the stories scrolled on the ticker have something to do with a terrorist attack on one country and stories about Iraq.

I did not have cable back then in 2002, but in late spring of that year, it would have been unwatchable for me because I was so concerned that the two South Asian countries are preparing for nuclear war as a result of a major terrorist attack at a government building in a south Asian capital.

So, in my opinion, I believe that the ticker change may be a precursor of the "MS" being dropped in MSNBC since NBC no longer have any deals with Microsoft Corporation.

Expect a lot of changes with the channel in a few months.

Actually.. The MSNBC.com website is still a 50/50 joint-venture.
