MSNBC turns 10

So much for what WAS. Today MSNBC is no more than one jail house/crime show/sting operation after another--all repeated interminably. The channel made some noitable progress, but as is often asked, "What are you doing for us today?"

Not much, show is over, fade to black.

Certainly worthy of consideration. All of their so-called "news" people could host and do commentary on Leave It To Beaver.

No it is not. As long as Fox News keeps pumping the manure that it does, and people are idiotic enough to watch it, then MSNBC will face the need to constantly make tough decisions.

MSNBC is making inroads with Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, while Fox News' ratings are falling (and Fox officials are taking cheap shots and spreading lies in the process).

No, if any network needs to be put out of its misery, it is the Fox News Channel.

Happy 10th Anniversary MSNBC!

Yes. Happy 10th Anniversary MSNBC.
When the next big terrorist attack (or major natural disaster) hits,
I may have a tough time deciding between MSNBC and CNN.
I do like MSNBC, but I am a Cooper fan, and I like his style. He's got guts to broadcast live from a hurricane. I know I wouldn't want to.

Maybe they should turn MSNBC into some sort of all news channel.

I think that MSNBC should go off the air and replace it with Weather Plus or Sleuth channel. Move Hardball and Countdown to CNBC. The channel has some of the wrost news anchors on TV today.

MSNBC would be better served as an all news channel, fully using the resources of NBC News and the NBC affilliates. Some things that could be done are a rebroadcast of Nightly at a later time, having a program cherry picked stories from affiliates around the country, air CBC's The National, and ditch all the opinion shows and Dateline retreads.
